Trades Trigger ("we," "us," or "our") operates a dispatch platform connecting clients with independent trade contractors. We are a referral and dispatch service only — we do not perform, direct, or supervise any trade work, and we are not a party to the service agreement between a client and a Technician. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our website and Platform.

We are committed to compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and applicable provincial privacy legislation in Canada.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Client Information

• Name, email address, and phone number
• Service address and property type
• Job details and description of the work requested
• Booking history and job status
• Reviews and ratings submitted

2.2 Technician Information

• Name, email address, phone number, and trade
• Profile photo and bio
• Uploaded documents: certificate of insurance, driver's license, trades license, and workers' compensation (WCB) clearance
• Real-time GPS location (only while actively streaming during an en-route job)
• Job history, ratings, and platform fee records

2.3 Technical Information

• Device type, browser, and IP address
• Usage data such as pages visited and features used

3. How We Use Information

• To match clients with available Technicians and facilitate dispatch.
• To provide live GPS tracking of the Technician to the client during an active job.
• To verify Technician licensing, insurance, and qualifications.
• To process platform fees and maintain payment records.
• To send service notifications (job claimed, en route, arrived, completed).
• To request and display reviews and ratings.
• To provide customer support and resolve disputes.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Live Location Data

A Technician's real-time GPS location is collected and shared with the client only while the Technician has an active en-route job and has enabled GPS streaming. Location streaming stops when the job is completed or streaming is paused. We do not track Technician locations when they are off-duty or not on an active job.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as necessary to operate the Platform and as described below:

• Between clients and Technicians: Contact details, service address, and job description are shared to facilitate the dispatch. Live location is shared during an active job.
• Service providers: We use third-party services for mapping/routing, hosting, and analytics. These providers have access to limited data needed to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trades Trigger, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Document Retention

Technician uploaded documents (insurance, licenses, WCB clearance) are retained for the duration of the Technician's active account and for a reasonable period thereafter as needed for record-keeping and legal compliance. Clients may request deletion of their account data; Technicians may request deletion subject to outstanding fee and legal-hold obligations.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for certain data processing (which may limit Platform functionality).

9. Cookies & Local Storage

The Platform uses browser local storage to maintain your login session and preferences (such as your admin or technician access token). We do not use tracking cookies for third-party advertising.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be effective upon posting the revised policy on the Platform. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
